The first-ever in Nigeria, Open for Business: The NGO Marketplace, Roundtable and Exhibition was organized by Development Alternatives and Resource Center (DARC) with funding support from the Ford Foundation. The exhibition showcased the viable works of NGOs in Nigeria. The program took place on the 11 & 12 of September, 2008 at the Grand Ball Room, Eko Hotel and Suite, Victoria Island, Lagos. The cardinal objectives of the event are to showcase the categories of the NGOs that are operating in Nigeria and the impact they have made in various aspects of life in the society, and to encourage more local support for their work.
